Dan Smith, CFO / Executive Vice President, oversees and directs all financial aspects of New South Construction, including areas of accounting, risk management, human resources and administration. With a background in finance and accounting, Dan joined New South in 1993 serving as Accounting Manager. Dan has over 28 years experience in the construction industry and through his years of dedication and close attention to detail, New South has developed into an extremely successful $250 million company.
Dan serves on the Board of Directors at CEFGA - Construction Education Foundation of Georgia and is on the Executive Committee in the position of Treasurer. Dan is also an active member of The Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA) and the Associated General Contractors - Georgia Branch where he serves on the Legislative Committee as well as the Benefits Task Force. Dan is an active member of Lost Mountain Baptist Church, serving on the Vision Team.
Dan is married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family and multiple activities in the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and hiking.
