New South Construction Company, an Atlanta-based general contracting firm, announced today the addition of seven new hires. The employees are:

Steve Haley joins the firm as an assistant superintendent, responsible for carrying out daily activities, including tracking project progress and compliance. Haley will also be responsible for ensuring safety and quality of work, scheduling deliveries and coordinating subcontractors.

Greg Trent was hired as a scheduler and is responsible for the management of scheduling and associated reporting for projects. He will develop, maintain and execute schedules for a number of projects in and around Atlanta. Trent attended Georgia Southern University where he earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and management and construction management.

James Lofgren and Nicole Prettyman join the firm as preconstruction engineers, responsible for working with clients, potential clients, vendors and subcontractors to complete project estimates. Lofgren received his bachelor’s degree in building construction from Georgia Institute of Technology and Prettyman received her bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Trey FinlenAugust Kibler and Sharp Turner join the firm as project engineers. They are responsible for assisting project personnel in the planning, directing and coordinating of activities of designated projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within the allotted schedule and budget. Finlen received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, Kibler earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clemson University and Turner received his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Clemson University.
