New South Construction Company, an Atlanta-based general contracting firm working throughout the Southeast, received five first-place honors from the Associated General Contractors’ (AGC) 2018 Build Georgia Awards. The program recognizes construction firms’ excellence and exceptional projects completed across the state in the past year.

The five projects awarded first place to New South include The Coca-Cola Company’s Mainstreet renovations at Coca-Cola’s headquarters in downtown Atlanta; SunTrust Park, the new home for the Atlanta Braves; the Concourse F A380 gate reconfiguration at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport; the revitalization of Trustees’ Garden in Savannah; and the Perimeter Church lobby renovations located in Johns Creek.

“It is an honor to receive five Build Georgia Awards and to be recognized for our work on projects in a variety of markets,” said Huntly Gordon, New South’s president. “These awards are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our employees and the continued support of our business partners and clients.”

The annual AGC Build Georgia Awards program recognizes outstanding achievements in the construction industry. Winning projects represent the best the construction industry has to offer by both general contractors and specialty contractors who demonstrate the following: exceptional project safety performance, overcoming the challenges of a difficult project, innovation in construction techniques and materials, excellence in project management and scheduling, and dedication to client service and customer care.

The winning projects will be recognized during the AGC Georgia Annual Convention, June 7-10, in Destin, Florida.
