New South Construction received six awards from the Associated General Contractors’ (AGC) 2020 Build Georgia Awards. The program recognizes construction firms’ excellence and exceptional projects completed across the state in the past year.

The five projects awarded first place include the University of Georgia’s Skidaway Institute of Oceanography; Skyland Trail’s J. Rex Fuqua Campus for Adolescents; The Coca-Cola Company’s North Avenue Tower Renovation, floors 5-26, at their downtown Atlanta headquarters; Georgia Institute of Technology’s Dalney Building; and Emory University’s Convocation Hall.  Additionally, New South received merit honors for the Cathedral of Christ the King’s new multi-use Hyland Center.

The annual AGC Build Georgia Awards program recognizes outstanding achievements in the construction industry. Winning projects represent the best the construction industry has to offer by both general contractors and specialty contractors who demonstrate the following: exceptional project safety performance, overcoming the challenges of a difficult project, innovation in construction techniques and materials, excellence in project management and scheduling, and dedication to client service and customer care.
