Dan Hobson

Dan began his career in the construction industry at New South in 1999. He is an executive vice president, overseeing operations. He is an active member of the South Atlantic Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM®). Additionally, Dan serves on the Georgia Southern University Advisory Committee and is involved with the New South Foundation, an approved 501 (c)(3) organization providing scholarships and annual giving to local charities and community service projects. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his two daughters and anything involving BBQ. Dan received his bachelor’s degree in building construction and contracting from Georgia Southern University.
Dan’s advice to someone looking to be in the construction industry: “Take time to learn about trade contractors. Learn how they operate and how they do business. The more you fully understand the needs of those you are managing, the more effective you will be.”
