New South Construction Company has announced a planned succession of its executive leadership team.
Atlanta-native Douglas Davidson, who founded New South in 1990, will continue to serve as Chairman supporting long-time partner Huntly Gordon as he assumes the role of CEO. Over the last three and a half decades, the two have grown the business into one of the Southeast’s largest general contracting firms.
Greg Schlich, acting as an Executive Vice President, will take on the role of President. In this capacity, Schlich will oversee the company’s strategic growth and culture of innovation. As part of the planned transition, Rob Dunn and Jon Harris, who both started their careers at New South, will continue as Managing Partners alongside Schlich.
“Greg, Rob and Jon have played an important role in New South’s success in every step with their quality leadership,” said Gordon. “Together, they have cultivated a connected culture that will carry the core values New South was founded on into the next generation.”
Over the last several years, Managing Partners Schlich, Dunn and Harris have led New South through a remarkable period of growth expanding the company’s geographic footprint and more than tripling revenue in the last decade.
“This transition is seamless and exciting for New South,” adds Davidson. “We have a tenured leadership team that embodies our commitment to our clients, industry partners, and most importantly, our employees.”
