The Douglas County Adult Detention & Law Enforcement Center is a 500,000-square-foot facility including five buildings with a 1,500-bed, four-story housing tower.

The four-story Law Enforcement Center building, houses the Sheriff’s office, law enforcement staff offices, and the detention administration staff. The detention support area is a three-story structure which includes the following: maximum security cells, medical facility, mental health, laundry, kitchen, dispatch area, intake, and release spaces. Additional buildings include a large visitor center, a trustee dorm, and maintenance shop.
