The City of Newnan today held a ribbon cutting at Greenville Street Park, celebrating the recent park improvements, which include an enhanced stage with AV capabilities and additional seating capacity.

Present at the recent ribbon cutting were Mayor James Shepherd, City Council Members Jim Thomasson and Cynthia Jenkins, City Manager Cleatus Phillips, Assistant City Managers Hasco Craver and Meg Kelsey, as well as community partners with New South Construction, Comprehensive Program Services, Goodwyn Mills Cawood, and Ironwood Design Group.

Mayor Shepherd thanked the citizens for supporting SPLOST and the City Council for approving the improvements. “This is what SPLOST dollars are meant to do. These improvements will make Greenville Street Park an even better place for our entire Newnan community to come together.”
