The air traffic control tower consists of nine stories and includes: restroom facilities, shower and locker areas, break rooms, administrative areas, training rooms, mechanical areas, electrical areas, chases for mechanical and electrical systems, stairwells, and an elevator. The scope of work included modifications to the existing parking lot with adequate standoff distance, connection sidewalks, landscaping, and fencing. Supporting utilities include gas, sewer, water, and underground electrical and communication lines.
The project included demolition of the existing control tower and existing beacon tower located at Dobbins Place.
This project is LEED Silver certified.
