The E‑Gates Conversion and Ramp 6 North Gates project at H‑JAIA expanded E‑Concourse by 32,000 SF and added four new gates, with four existing gates upgraded for larger aircraft. Construction began in December 2023 with the installation of 45 auger cast piles, a challenging task due to the active concourse and occupied gates nearby. The structure rose quickly to meet the aggressive 15‑month schedule. Before opening, more than 800 feet of fixed walkways and passenger boarding bridges were installed to serve the new gates, contributing to the project’s successful on‑schedule, under‑budget completion.
