Situated within Midtown’s vibrant Atlantic Station, Atlantic Yards features two office buildings which total 16 levels and 520,000-square-feet of office space atop a three-story, 890-space parking deck. The floor plates for the North and South towers are roughly 30,000 and 36,000 square feet each, accommodating 100 square feet per employee.  Each office tower features green rooftop terraces and a unique rainwater harvesting system for rainwater recycling.

Hines’ Atlantic Yards project was built on one of the last undeveloped lots at Atlantic Station.  The project features two office buildings atop a large three-level parking deck, making it a prominent highly visible cornerstone along the downtown connector in Midtown.  Being one of the last undeveloped lots provided many issues, including: being land-locked on three sides, narrowing access to one side; contaminated soils; and underground debris left behind from the Atlantic Steel Mill, which made deep foundations, shoring, retaining walls, and underground utilities especially challenging.  Once elevated, work had to be accessed from two busy, elevated roadways (17th & Market Street) as well as Fowler Street on grade while the fourth side remained inaccessible due to an existing townhome development.  Despite the many challenges New South faced, Atlantic Yards was delivered on time and on budget despite encountering a global pandemic along the way.
