Arthur M. Blank Family Upper School is a new four-story, 76,000-square-foot high school for Pace Academy in Atlanta. A dream for many years, this building completes the master plan of Pace Academy’s campus. The existing 1960s Upper School, lacked in size, technology, and quality in comparison to the rest of campus. Wanting a change, the Pace community came together to deliver a capital campaign to raise millions of dollars to bring the facility to life. The community’s involvement was incorporated into the design of the building, as it flawlessly blends in with the exceptional craftsmanship of the homes in the surrounding area.
In summer of 2013, the existing Upper School was demolished and that same summer, foundations for the new Upper School were cast. The new facility includes: classrooms, science laboratories, study rooms, student commons, a two-story library, and rooftop terrace.
