The addition and renovations to the Center for Puppetry Arts building more than doubled the museum space in this iconic 1918 building located in Midtown Atlanta. The new addition itself has a complex shape and is quite colorful with its “Kermit” green harlequin pattern exterior.
The off-centered windows and sharp angles give the building an inviting and interestingly playful appearance. Upon completion approximately half of the addition was dedicated to Jim Henson’s Collection, where visitors can view such iconic puppets as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
This project is Silver LEED certified.
